Церковна Рада отримує багато повідомлень та дзвінків від православних українців, які стояли у витоків створення та розбудови української православної громади в Швеції, тим більше, від новоприбулих українців, які потребують духовної опіки та бажають проведення Богослужінь рідною мовою.
Така підтримка надає сили і віри в продовженні у відстоюванні прав на існування парафії, яка будувалася впродовж п´яти років.
Рішення про збір підписів в підтримку збереження української православної парафії в Стокгольмі демонструє демократичний підхід в європейському суспільстві, частиною якого є Україна.

Для кращого розуміння ситуації, надаємо детальний опис передумови збору підписів.
В 2018 році за добровільною згодою віруючих осіб православного віросповідання та з благословення Архієпископа Рівненського і Острозького УПЦ КП Іларіона була створена українська парафія Віри, Надії, Любові та матері їх Софії в Стокгольмі і відповідно була зареєстрована згідно шведського законодавства релігійна організація під назвою “Українська Православна Церква КП в Швеції “, організаційний номер 252004–9491. До Стокгольму запрошувалися священники з України проводити Богослужіння два рази на місяць. На жаль, не могли залишатись на постійній основі з певних приватних та юридичних причин.
В 2019 році був прийнятий Томос і віруючими Стокгольмської парафії було висловлено прохання про прийняття нашої церковної громади під покров Вселенського Патріархату. Були проведені зміни в Статуті та в назві релігійної організації. Назва була змінена на “Українська Православна Церква в Швеції”, шведською “Ukrainska Ortodoxa Kyrkan i Sverige”.
Згідно канонів Томосу, приїзд священників з України призупинився з листопада 2019 року.
На початку 2020 року до парафії почав приїздити протоієрей Микола Кригін. За цей час у нас не було жодного конфлікту. Ми розумілись, підтримували та організовували українських православних в Стокгольмі.
Навесні 2022 року, завдяки клопотанням Церковної Ради до МЗС України та до канцелярії ПЦУ та завдяки фінансовій підтримці парафії о.Микола, його дружина та син прибули до Стокгольму. По прибутті о.Микола різко змінив свою позицію, почав збирати нових людей, налаштовувати їх проти парафії. Його співпраця з людьми, які мали проросійські погляди до початку війни, викликало обурення.
Згодом стало відомо, що о.Микола двічі зустрічався з Скандинавським Митрополитом Клеопою, проігнорувавши представників Церковної Ради. Тому його було запрошено на зустріч для обговорення та вирішення непорозумінь. На зустріч він прийшов з незнайомими людьми, які не мали жодного відношення до життя парафії. Під час зустрічі о.Миколі було запропоновано разом з Церковною Радою зустрітися з Скандинавським Митрополитом Клеопою та обговорити про майбутнє парафії. Також була пропозиція провести реорганізацію парафії згідно релігійних канонів та шведських законів. Найголовніше, якнайбільше зберегти існіючу парафію! Натомість, людина, яка була духовним наставником парафіян майже три роки, наполегливо настоювала закрити парафію та скасувати реєстрацію існуючої релігійної організації в шведських державних органах влади. Ця зустріч відбулася, як спроба рейдерського захвату парафії!
На цьому етапі всі намагання співпраці з о.Миколою закінчилися його наклепами та погрозами на Церковну Раду. Він створив групу в соціальній мережі та розпочав збір підписів про створення нової парафії, що дуже дивно, адже, фактично опікувався нашою парафіїєю тривалий час і знав більшість парафіян особисто.
Слід зазначити, що представники Церковної Ради та двадцятка віруючих Стокгольмської парафії мали зустріч з Скандинавським Митрополитом Клеопою. Там було повідомлено про бажання зберегти Богослужіння українською мовою згідно українських православних традицій та про чітку позицію свого права на приналежність до Української Православної Церкви в діаспорі, яка є Митрополією Константинопольського Патріархату під амофором Митрополита Антонія та співпрацю парафії з Скандинавською Митрополією.
Паралельно з негативом, який вилився за цей останній рік, діяльність в парафії продовжувалась. Співпраця з канцелярією Української Православної Церкви в діаспорі дала можливість приїзду священника з Німеччини для проведення Богослужінь, здійснення церковних обрядів Хрещення та освячення води. На превеликий жаль, чергове втручання о.Миколи Кригіна призвело до скасування Великоднього Богослужіння в цьому році, що шокувало парафіян.

For the preservation of the Ukrainian parish of Vera, Nadia, Lyubov, and their mother Sophia in Stockholm in the UOC in the diaspora.
The Church Council receives many messages and calls from parishioners who were at the origin of the creation and development of the church community in Stockholm, especially from newly arrived Ukrainians who need spiritual support and wish to conduct religious services in their native language. Such support gives strength and faith in continuing to defend the rights to the existence of the parish, which was built over 5 years.
The decision to collect signatures in support of the preservation of the Ukrainian Orthodox parish demonstrates a democratic approach in European society, of which Ukraine is a part.

For a better understanding of the situation, we provide a detailed description of the prerequisites for collecting signatures.
In 2018, with the voluntary consent of believers of the Orthodox faith and with the blessing of the Archbishop of Rivne and Ostroh UOC KP Hilarion, the Ukrainian parish of Faith, Hope, Love and their mother Sophia was created in Stockholm and, accordingly, a religious organization named "Ukrainian Orthodox Church" was registered under Swedish legislation KP in Sweden", organization number 252004-9491. Priests from Ukraine were invited to Stockholm to hold services twice a month. Unfortunately, they could not stay on a permanent basis for certain private and legal reasons.
In 2019, Tomos was accepted and the believers of the Stockholm parish expressed a request to accept our church community under the protection of the Ecumenical Patriarchate. Changes were made in the Status as well as in the name of the religious organization - "Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Sweden", in Swedish "Ukrainska Ortodoxa Kyrkan i Sverige".
According to the Tomos canons, the arrival of priests from Ukraine has been suspended since November 2019.
At the beginning of 2020, Archpriest Mykola Krygin started coming to the parish. During this time, we did not have any conflict. We understood, supported and organized the Ukrainian Orthodox in Stockholm.
In the spring of 2022, thanks to the requests of the Church Council to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and to the office of the OCU and thanks to the financial support of the parish - Father Mykola, his wife and son arrived in Stockholm. Upon his arrival, Father Mykola changed his position dramatically, began to gather new people, to turn them against the parish. His cooperation with people who had pro-russian views before the war caused outrage.
Later it became known that Father Mykola met twice with the Scandinavian Metropolitan Cleopas, ignoring the representatives of the Church Council. Therefore, he was invited to a meeting to discuss and resolve misunderstandings. He came to the meeting with strangers who had nothing to do with the life of the parish. During the meeting, Fr. Mykola was proposed to meet with Scandinavian Metropolitan Cleopastogether with the Church Council to discuss the future of the parish. There was also a proposal to reorganize the parish according to religious canons and Swedish laws. The most important purpose of that meeting was to preserve the existing parish as much as possible! Instead, the man who had been the spiritual mentor of the parishioners for almost three years insisted that the parish must be closed and the registration of the existing religious organization canceled by the Swedish state authorities. This meeting looked like an attempt to seize the parish!
At this stage, all efforts to cooperate with Father Mykola ended with his slander and threats against the Church Council. He created a group on a social network and started collecting signatures on the creation of a new parish, which was surprising, because he actually took care of our parish for a long time and knew most of the parishioners personally.
It should be noted that after all, representatives of the Church Council and twenty believers of the Stockholm parish had a meeting with Scandinavian Metropolitan Cleopas. During the meeting, the representatives stated that the Divine Service needs to be hold in the Ukrainian language according to Ukrainian Orthodox traditions. Moreover, they expressed the right to belong to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the diaspora and cooperation with the Scandinavian Metropolis.
In parallel with the negativity that poured out during this last year, the activity in the parish continued. Cooperation with the office of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in the diaspora made it possible for a priest to come to Stockholm from Germany to conduct divine services, perform church rites of Baptism and consecration of water. Unfortunately, another intervention of Father Mykola Krygin led to the cancellation of the Easter service this year, which shocked the parishioners.
